My Grandfather Hubert Joseph Wild's workshop in the middle of the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. This building has been empty for as far as my memory extends and the last time I visited this place, May 2007, it was still empty. A Mr Griffith, Die Maker, used the ground floor, I have a photo of him standing in his doorway and I now own his old Mellor lathe. Unfortunately I have little of my Grandfather Wild, just the ends of the wires he used draw down to make hinges. I have Grandfather Powells' old tools which I still use and some of Great Uncle Vics' saved from the garden shed as well as a few of the items they made.
